AFC Leopard continued with their impressive form on Sunday
evening when they squeezed past Posta Rangers with a 1-0 win in a Football
Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match played in Machakos.
Posta Rangers enjoyed the majority of the ball at the start
of the first half and they could have gone ahead in the ninth minute but an
excellent job from Ingwe ace Boniface Munyendo made their counterattack fail to
count.
As the proceedings went on, AFC Leopards started to get into the game with their strikers busy looking for an opportunity to break the deadlock.

Brian Yakhama unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box
in the 23rd minute which narrowly missed the target.
After knocking on the host’s door, AFC Leopards finally
found the opener in the 40th minute thanks to a bullet header from former
Rangers man Ken Owino who ensured the Thomas Trucha-coached side went into the
break with a slim lead.
Posta Rangers, who recently sent their head coach John Kamau
to a two-month leave, returned from the break with the intention of finding a
quick equalizer.
They threw everything at AFC Leopards but luck was not on
their side. They had one of their stars hit the goalpost in the 50th minute much
to the relief of Ingwe supporters.
