Kenya U20 rugby squad for Barthes Trophy announced

Four nations will take part in the tournament which will be hosted by Zimbabwe.
- The 2024 Barthes U20 trophy will take place in Harare, Zimbabwe between April 20 and April 28.
- Some of the players who took part in last year’s World Rugby U20 Trophy have made the cut.
- A round-robin format will be used in the tournament with the winner booking a ticket to represent the African continent at the 2024 World Rugby U20 trophy
The Kenya national U20 rugby coach Simon Jawichre has
released a list of players expected to represent the country at the 2024
Barthes trophy tournament.
The 28-member squad is made up of some players who have
represented the nation before in international events.
Among them, are nine youngsters who were part of the team
which took part in the 2023 World Rugby U20 trophy.

Some of those stars include Nathan Tsindoli, Patrick
Wanaina, Faran Juma, James Olela and Wycliffe Ogutu.
Andycole Omolo, Geylord Ngasi, Michael Wamalwa and Iddo Kuta
have also made a return to the team.
In addition, Menengai Oilers and Nakuru Rugby Club players
Alvin Khavoli and Philip Okeyo are set to grace the tournament which is
scheduled to take place in Harare, Zimbabwe between Saturday, April 20 and
Sunday, April 28.
A round-robin format will be used with the winner booking a
ticket to represent the African continent at the 2024 World Rugby U20 trophy
which will be hosted in Scotland in July.

The team is slated to leave the country on Thursday, April
18 ahead of their opener against South African powerhouse Namibia.
After the Namibia clash, Chipu will lock horns with Tunisia
on Wednesday, April 20 before playing their final match against Zimbabwe on
Sunday, April 28.
