NAIROBI, Kenya- SportPesa Premier League (SPL) champions, Gor Mahia FC, were on Thursday among the five teams nominated for the Men’s Team of the Year at the 2018 Safaricom Sports Personality of the Year Awards (SOYAS) slated for Mombasa on January 11.

K’Ogalo will battle for the crown against national football team Harambee Stars, Davis Cup Tennis team, Kanbis Cricket Sports Club and the Kenya Deaf Handball.

It was also the day that Manchester City FC inflicted Liverpool's first Premier League defeat of the season to breathe new life into their title defence with a 2-1 victory at the Etihad.
