NAIROBI, Kenya- Series leader Sahib Omar is set to battle it out with 4WD Turbo defending champion Rehan Shah in the fifth round of KCB Autocross Championship slated for Jamhuri track in Nairobi on Sunday.

Shah makes a return confident of posting positive results powering a N10 Subaru while Omar will be driving a Subaru G68 with a restrictor in the category.

“I was out of the country for some time and I am glad to be back in full force, I’m looking forward to a fun event,” Shah underlined.

The 46-year-old driver won the 2017 championship against veteran speed star Azar Anwar and will be hoping to use the remaining rounds of the autocross to test his skills and tenacity.

Other top contenders includes Zameer Verjee and Sameer Nanji while Rajveer Thethy and Safina Khan will be the drivers to watch in the 2WD Non-Turbo.

“I have made a number of changes to my car including the engine and the braking system, hopefully I will be able to defend my title this year,” Khan underscored.

“The championship has grown by leaps since we took over as the tile sponsors, we are keen on developing the sport to higher levels,” KCB Group Marketing and Communications Director Angela Mwirigi stated.
