NAIROBI, Kenya- Kenya Commercial Bank FC (KCB) head coach Frank Ouna has urged his team to take it one game at a time as they enter a crucial stage of their comeback SportPesa Premier League season.

Ouna was speaking to SportPesa News at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Monday afternoon after his side returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Mt. Kenya United FC as they seek a strong finish on their return to the top flight.

Speedy winger Kennedy Owino and substitute Ezekiel Odera were on target for the bankers, who jumped up three places to 10th on the SPL table with 34 points after the victory.

“I want to congratulate the boys for a job well done today.

“They were professional on the pitch and showed great team effort to keep it together until the very end. I’m very proud of them,” Ouna stated.

The match was the first in the last four that KCB did not concede in the last minute after suffering such misfortune against Gor Mahia FC, Kakamega Homeboyz FC, Chemelil Sugar FC and Sofapaka FC in the recent past.

“We did not concede in the last minute as we have become accustomed to and that is a plus for us.

“We will continue to work hard on the mistakes that have been costing us and that is one of them. We will get better,” he continued.

KCB have a testing week ahead of them as they travel to Awendo for a grudge SPL match against Sony Sugar FC on Thursday before their biggest game of the season this Sunday.

The bankers will go up against holders Kariobangi Sharks FC in the SportPesa Shield semis scheduled to take place at the Kenyatta Stadium on Sunday, May 12.

“Yes we have a semifinal coming up this weekend but we have to take it one game at a time if we are to achieve all we set our sights on,” the former Wazito FC tactician underlined.
