RABAT, Morocco- Malkia Strikers thrashed Nigeria 3-0 on Wednesday night to qualify for finals in women’s volleyball contest at the ongoing Africa Games in Morocco.

Kenya won in straight sets of 25-21, 25-16 and 25-11 to beat the resilient Nigerians who will now battle hosts Morocco for the bronze medal on Friday.

"Once again, i'm very proud of the team for the victory. As we had outlined in our tactical plan, the team went full throttle and executed each play and run with resounding energy.

“This game displayed the character and class we need in every match. As we head to the finals, once again i encourage the players not to entertain any complacency and instead focus on the gold medal,” head coach Paul Bitok underlined.

“It is important we maintain our teamwork, determination and belief at all times. I also take this opportunity to commend our Nigerian opponents for their effort, they really gave it their best,” Bitok underscored.
