“As Gor Mahia family, we are fully behind Oktay as he seeks
to deal with personal issues back home. We have given him a minimum of five
days,” club CEO Lordvick Aduda said.
Gor have also had to deal with the departure of long-serving
assistant coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno, who left to take on a bigger challenge
as the head coach of Kenya Commercial Bank FC (KCB).
Oliech has been out injured since twisting his arm in an
awkward fall against Western Stima FC at the end of the 2018/19 SPL season.
The forward has confirmed receiving a telephone call from the
club’s team manager, Jolawi Abondo and revealed he will report to training on
Tuesday.
“I received a phone call from the team manager [Abondo] and
I will honour the call,” he told a close friend, who spoke to Goal.
