Former Leopards Talisman Ndung'u Joins Homeboyz In A Two-Year Deal

Club chairman Cleophas ‘Toto’ Shimanyula has confirmed they have acquired the services of the winger who was part of SportPesa Allstars squad that represented the country against English Championship side Hull City FC in UK in 2017

KAKAMEGA, Kenya- Mt. Kenya United FC winger, Samuel Ndung’u has penned a two year contract with Kakamega  Homeboyz FC ahead of the SportPesa Premier League (SPL) second leg that kicks off next month.

Homeboyz chairman Cleophas ‘Toto’ Shimanyula has confirmed they have acquired the services of Ndung’u  who was part of the SportPesa Allstars squad that represented the country against English Championship side Hull City FC in the United Kingdom in 2017.

“We have given the player a two-year deal. We strongly believe he will add value to the team. He is not only talented but also has experience gained from playing for other SPL clubs,” Shimanyula told SportPesa News.

The left-footed player joined Mt. Kenya at the start of the 2018/2019 SPL season before opting out to link with Homeboyz.

Ndung'u started his career at Nzoia Sugar FC while the team was in the lower tiers. He then moved to Timsales FC where he was spotted by Muhoroni Youth FC who were then in the SPL.

He moved to Muhoroni in January 2016 and was acquired  by AFC Leopards SC 11 months later after shining in his SPL debut season.

Ndung’u plied trade for Leopards in 2017 before joining  Mathare United FC where he lasted for one term before he decamped to Mt. Kenya United in November 2018.
