NAIROBI, Kenya- Kenya Premier League (KPL) leaders Tusker FC have sealed their fourth signing of the January transfer window after confirming the arrival of striker Henry Meja.

The 18-year-old striker, who was the top scorer and Most Valuable Player in the 2019 Cleophas Malala Supercup, completed his move to the brewers, penning down a three-year deal.

“Tusker is delighted to announce the signing of striker, Henry Meja,” the club wrote on their official Facebook page.

He joins former Mathare United FC ace Christopher Oduor, Brian Marita and Chrispinus Onyango at the Ruaraka-based outfit.

Moneybags Wazito FC have sealed the signing of Liberian international Augustine Otu from top tier side Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) FC.

Coach Stewart Hall has said the 21-year-old will improve the promoted side's forward line.

“Otu is a good striker. He is a young and hungry forward who we believe will improve our attack by getting us goals.

“He has been training with the team for the last couple of weeks and we are impressed with his abilities. He will bring good competition to our attack which is healthy for the team,” coach Stewart Hall stated.

Wazito also completed the signings of Alvin ‘Chicha’ Ochieng and Roland Ashimoto from Kisumu All-Stars and Kakamega High School respectively on long-term deals.

Champions Gor Mahia FC made their fourth signing in this January window by bringing on board Nicholas Omondi from National Super League (NSL) Kibera Black Stars.

Omondi is coming to K’Ogalo as a direct replacement for youngster Tobias Otieno who has left the club to join US second-tier side Union Omaha.

Omondi becomes the club’s fourth high profile signing in the ongoing mid-season transfer window after the capture of Ugandan forward Juma Balinya, Clinton Okoth from Migori Youth and Ghanaian midfielder Jackson Owusu.

Chris Alpha Onyango and Alphonse Omija have also been promoted to the senior team from Gor Mahia Youth.

Relegation-threatened Nzoia Sugar FC has announced the signing of Emmanuel Esekon, previously of Bungoma Super Stars.

The central defender, popularly referred to as Essien, has signed a five-year contract with the side and was presented on Thursday evening.

AFC Leopards SC have not signed anyone so far but interim coach Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani admitted a number of players have been training with them and could put pen to paper eventually.

So far, former Kariobangi Sharks FC goalkeeper Gad Mathews has been linked with a potential move to the Den but Kimani did not give names of the players who are training under his watch.

“Yes, we have a few new players who have been training with us with a possibility of signing for AFC Leopards. They have been looking very sharp and have had the opportunity,” Kimani said.
