The 28-year-old secured a move to Ingwe back in 2018 from
Thika United but failed to make a huge impact due to injury-related reasons.
Musa picked up a hamstring injury a few days after he signed
the contract and was sidelined for a lengthy spell.
“The injury came after we did a recovery session. I remember
the team went to Western and when they came back we went for training at Camp
Toyoyo. I tore my hamstring and I was out for a couple of months,” explained
the player who was born in Mumias.
After recovering from the setback, Musa resumed training
with the multiple Kenya Premier League champions. However, he only managed to
feature in a few matches for AFC Leopards before an injury (knee) hit him
again.

“We played four friendly games to the season and the last
one was against Ulinzi. I remember I was sitting next to Aziz Okaka. He saw
something on my right knee. I was out for another 4 months. The doctors did
examinations but there was nothing seen and I could not do anything,” he
noted.
According to Musa, some of the medics at Ingwe told him that
his knee injury was not normal and even associated it with black magic.
Musa later signed a contract extension with AFC Leopards in
the summer of 2022 but did not have an opportunity to impress since he
continued to struggle with injury problems.

Some of the other injuries that negatively affected his professional
career include a shoulder and a hairline fracture.
Football fans from across the divide were touched by Musa’s
revelations with most of them wishing him all the best in his next endeavors.
“You have been fighting with injuries my brother. You are one of the strongest men I know, may Allah bless you, my brother. All the best,” observed one comment.
