NAIROBI, Kenya- Last season's runners-up Bandari FC continued to struggle in the 2019/20 SportPesa Premier League (SPL) season as they suffered a 1-0 defeat the hands of Tusker FC on Sunday afternoon.

Humphrey Mieno scored his second goal in as many matches as his effort shot the brewers back into second place on the standings with 21, three behind Gor Mahia FC who played out to a barren draw against Ulinzi Stars FC.

Bandari are now without a win in six games and their wretched run of form leaves them one point above the relegation zone with nine.

Zoo FC were the biggest winners of the day as they hammered newcomers Kisumu All Stars FC 3-0 at the Kericho Green Stadium.

Daniel Anami opened the scoring in the 27th and Summy Golola and Collins Neto's second half efforts sealed all three points for Zoo, who shot up to 11th place after the emphatic win.

All Stars are deep in the relegation zone, one ahead of winless Chemelil, following the expulsion of Sony Sugar FC from the league.

Sofapaka thought they had done enough to beat Western Stima FC at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu but a 93rd minute equaliser was their undoing as they played out to a 1-1 draw.

The result leaves both sides level on 18 points but Stima have played a game less than John Baraza's side.
