MJP Winner Korir Aids SportPesa Foundation In Longisa Hospital Donation

SportPesa donated ICU beds to Longisa Hospital, worth Ksh1.2 million, maternal health equipment and beds worth over Ksh500,000 to health centres in Konoin among them Boito, Sotit and Chemelet

- Some of the beneficiary health facilities were recently renovated by the third SportPesa Mega Jackpot winner Cosmas Korir, who invited the Foundation to assist with donating equipment
- Since the launch of its maternal health initiative, in March 2021, SportPesa has supported health facilities in Nairobi, Bomet, Kiambu and Meru giving over Ksh10 million
The SportPesa Foundation donated equipment and completed construction of a hospital kitchen to health facilities in Konoin and Ndarawetta in Bomet County on Thursday.
Some of the beneficiary health facilities were recently renovated by the third SportPesa Mega Jackpot winner Cosmas Korir, who invited the Foundation to assist with donating equipment.
Mr Korir won Ksh208 SportPesa Mega Jackpot in September 2020. Upon his win he committed to support his local community.
“I thank SportPesa Foundation for donating these equipment. When I won I committed to support my community and assisting to renovate these facilities is only one step, I remain committed to scouting for sports talent in my county,” said Mr Korir who continues to game on the SportPesa platform.

As part of its two-day tour in Bomet County SportPesa Foundation officially opened the Ndarawetta Dispensary Kitchen.
In March 2021, the foundation launched its maternal health initiative at this dispensary by donating equipment for the hospital’s new maternity wing and supporting the construction of a kitchen to serve the wing.
“In March this year we committed to support maternal health across the country and continue to do it. SportPesa Foundation remains committed in supporting the women in this country, to ensure they have access to good maternal health care.
“It is a privilege to be back in Bomet County, where we initially launched our maternal health initiative. Over and above opening the Ndarawetta Dispensary kitchen we are here to support Cosmas Korir, one of our winners.
