AFC Leopards extended their unbeaten streak in the Kenya Premier League to five matches with a 1-0 victory against Nairobi City Stars on Wednesday afternoon.

The win snapped a three-match stalemate run and propelled them to 13th place with 13 points, after a brave display at the Nyayo National Stadium.

This was only their third win of the campaign as they condemned newcomers City Stars to their fourth loss courtesy of a Maxwell Otieno effort.

Elsewhere, record KPL winners Gor Mahia made it four straight games without a win as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Nzoia Sugar at the Sudi Stadium.

George Odhiambo gave K'Ogalo the lead in the 20th minute but they failed to capitalize on a host of chances created throughout the encounter.

Nzoia pulled one back on the hour mark, leaving them in the relegation zone with 8 points to their name, 11 behind Gor.

Posta Rangers bounced back from two consecutive draws in resounding fashion as they thrashed Wazito 4-1.

Elli Asieche got the consolation goal for Wazito in the first half but the mailmen proved too hard to handle as they added two second half goals to complete the rout.

The win lifts Posta into the top 10 as they now sit in eighth place with 18 points.

In the other match of the day, champions Tusker beat newbies Bidco United 2-1 to push them into 10th place with 16 points.

Shami Kibwana gave the brewers an early lead before Nelson Chieta brought the visitors level in the 74th minute.

It was short-lived as six minutes later Tanzanian import Ibrahim Joshua bagged the all important winner to seal all three points for Robert Matano's charges.
