NAIROBI, Kenya- Kenya Cup defending champions Kenya Commercial Bank RFC (KCB) began their quest to defend the title in top form as they saw off Kenya Harlequins 32-20 over the weekend. 

Davis Chenge, Ahmed Shaban and Brian Omondi scored first half tries for the champions as Lyle Asiligwa kicked three points for Quins by the break for a 29-3 half time lead.

Quins are yet to register a win in the new 2019/20 Kenya Cup campaign as they prepare to head into match day three next weekend.

Elsewhere, Kabras Sugar RFC put on a mighty second half display as they completely swept past Mwamba RFC in a 43-9 whitewash.

The sugar millers grounded five tries and added a drop goal to take command of the standings with 10 points after two rounds of matches.

Kisumu RFC stunned Nondescripts RFC 19-17 whilst Resolution Impala Saracens RFC were the biggest winners of the weekend as they whitewashed Kenyatta University's Blak Blad RFC 57-9.
