12-time Kenyan champions AFC Leopards have officially confirmed the signings of wing wizard Clifton Miheso and the experienced Kevin Kimani ahead of the new 2023/24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season.

On a day when the club also unveiled their kits for the new season, Ingwe announced the capture of 20 new players with fourteen signed in the current window with the remaining six finally registered following the lifting of their transfer ban.

Miheso returns to the club from Kenya Police having played for Leopards in 2016 before leaving for South African outfit Golden Arrows.

Kimani, who was the 2011 Footballer of The Year, also makes his comeback after a first stint at the den back in 2017 and joins as a free agent since his stint with coastal side Bandari.

The Tom Juma coached side have raided last season overachievers Nzoia Sugar where they have signed six of their players including goalkeeper Humprey Katasi who won the Golden Glove Award alongside Gor Mahia’s Gad Mathews after the duo kept 17 clean sheets.

The other four players signed from the sugar millers include Randy Bakari (centre back) Boniface Munyendo (midfielder), Hasssan Beja (winger), Vincent Mahiga (left back) and Yassin Sije (forward).

Luke Wafula Namanda also links up with the team from Rwandese outfit Musanze FC and is joined by Brian Yakhama (Talanta), Brian Mandela (Mwatate FC), Gideon Were (Mathare United), Shawn Oloo and Aziz Okaka who join from Wazito.

The six players who have been registered include Nesta Olum, Emmanuel Lwanga, Ronald Sichenje, Victor Otieno Ouma, Loren James Sati and Abubakar Musha.

Heading into the new season, Leopards will be seeking to at least challenge for the Football Kenya Federation Premier League title after their disappointing seventh placed finish last season.
