“Kenyan Erick Otieno has joined Rakow Czestochowa on a
permanent transfer from Swedish AIK. The 27-year-old midfielder's contract will
run until the end of December 2026 with an option to extend for a further two
years,” a statement from the club read.
“We are pleased to announce that Erick Otieno is our second
winter signing of the season. Erick has been a standout player in his position
in recent years in Sweden. Now the opportunity has come for him to join us,”
Rakow sporting director Samuel Cárdenas commented on the transfer.
“Erick is a player who fits perfectly with our philosophy.
He's fast, he's aggressive and he's always playing with intensity. Thanks to his
characteristics in playing with the ball and playing evenly with both feet, it
will be an option for both sides as a shuttle in our system.
