Harambee Stars midfielder Duke Abuya completes move to Tanzanian giants Yanga

Abuya was officially unveiled on Thursday night.

Harambee Stars attacking midfielder Duke Abuya has
officially completed his move to Tanzanian giants Yanga after being unveiled by
the club on Thursday night.
In a social media post, Abuya was announced via an unveiling
video and becomes the latest Kenyan player to sign for the reigning Tanzanian
giants.

Last season, he played 28 out of 30 matches and accumulated
a total of 2339 minutes in the Tanzanian Premier League where he was involved
in 8 goals, scoring four and assisting four,” Yanga posted on their website.
According to reports, Abuya, who moves from Ihefu (now
called Singida Big Stars) will join Timu ya Wananchi on a season-long loan from
Kenya Police FC.
Abuya, who can play as an attacking midfielder and on the
flanks when called upon, will face stiff challenge in the middle of the park
but will be hoping to take his game to the next level at the reigning Tanzanian
champions.

Yanga will also be playing in the 24/25 CAF Champions League
and are seeking to make it past the quarterfinals where they reached last
season.
Abuya becomes the sixth player to be unviled by Yanga ahead of the new season. Among other players signed by the reigning champions include Clatous Chama from rivals Simba SC, Prince Dube from Azam FC.
Chadrack Issaka Boka has also been signed from Congolese side St Eloi Lupopo, Khumeiny Aboubakar as well as Aziz Andambwile from Singida Big Stars.
