Gor Mahia out to make amends after last weekend's horror show

Gor Mahia FC will be seeking to rectify the errors they made last week when they visit a tricky FC Talanta side.

K’Ogalo had a match week 14 to forget after going 2-0 against minnows Nzoia Sugar with just 31 minutes gone, something which made their manager Jonathan McKinstry very angry.

Talanta is not an easy side and McKinstry admitted that recently stating that they will have to be at their best to overcome them.’

“Against Talanta, you know Ken Kenyatta drills his team remarkably hard. It is always a real fight and they have had a really good start to the season.

They are also quick on the second balls and very good at set pieces so we know what we will be up against when we face them,” the Northern Irishman stated.

The league’s top scorer Benson Omalla, who has found the back of the net nine times so far, is the man to watch in the encounter which promises to be an exciting one.

Bragging rights at stake as Ingwe lock horns with Homeboyz

Ingwe and Kakamega Homeboyz, two clubs with the majority of fans in Western Kenya are set to lock horns for the first time this season in what promises to be a cracker at the Nyayo National Stadium from 3pm.

The two clubs have had different starts to the season with Homeboyz enjoying an excellent form. On the other hand, AFC Leopards have endured numerous challenges both on and off the pitch, registering only one win  in fifteen games as they sit in 16th spot.

Homeboyz currently sit second in the log and a win might propel them to their top should the other top teams especially Gor Mahia fail to win their matches.

Tusker seek to build on midweek win

Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano will be aiming to win two matches in a row when his side visit Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium.

However, the experienced tactician knows that it would be a daunting task since their opponents are capable of stopping anyone on their good day.

His forward Stewart Omondi has admitted that they will have to work hard for the win against the Western region based club.

“We are very well prepared. It is going to be a tough match but every player here is equal to the task. We know tomorrow we will have to work very hard for the win.

As a team, we are looking for that winning momentum and rhythm in the league. Since we are close to the end of the first leg, we must collect at least maximum points moving forward,” he stated.

The Brewers currently occupy the 11th position with 19 points, nine points more than Nzoia who found themselves at the relegation zone.
