Gor Mahia FC are gearing up to take on Ulinzi Stars on Wednesday afternoon seeking to go top of the Kenya Premier League table.

Both teams remain unbeaten in the new campaign and lock horns at the Thika County Stadium at 3pm.

The record league winners Gor are currently in third place on the log with 12 points, level with leaders Bandari and second place Kakamega Homeboyz.

Ulinzi on the other hand are in sixth place in the standings with 10 points after four matches and are out to maintain their unbeaten KPL start.

The soldiers come into the match on the back of a convincing 2-0 victory against AFC Leopards over the weekend, whilst Gor edged Sofapaka 1-0.

Elsewhere, KPL champions Tusker FC will be away at newcomers Police FC on Wednesday at 1pm.

Robert Matano's charges got their first win of the season last weekend with a 2-0 victory over Wazito FC, to snap a two-game losing streak.

"We started the season badly but we are improving and we have to remember that we are the champions and have a point to prove.

"Yes, we are happy we won our first game and we are using that as motivation to maintain focus for our upcoming match," Matano stated.

Following the victory, the brewers rose from the bottom of the table to 13th place with 3 points, level with Police who have played a game more than their opponents.

A 3-1 victory over Nzoia Sugar remains newbies Police only points of the campaign after three defeats have left them languishing in 14th place.
