EPL star Kalvin Philips picks Kenya as favorite holiday destination

English Premier League midfielder Kalvin Philips has disclosed that Kenya is his favorite holiday destination. 

Philips, who secured a loan move to West Ham United a few days ago, made the revelations during a quick-fire question and answer session with an official from his new club.

When asked “What’s your favorite holiday destination?” Philips replied “Kenya” without any hesitation. 

The 28-year-old visited Kenya in 2022 after penning a mouthwatering deal with giants Manchester City.

During his trip to the country, the English international, who has also had a stint with Championship side Leeds United, visited various tourist destinations including the Tsavo National Park and a Masai Village. 

The defensive midfielder later took to his social media platform where he described the experience as an unforgettable one.

“The past two weeks we traveled to Kenya on a Safari which was an experience I do not think we will ever be able to top!

Me and my girlfriend absolutely love animals so having the chance to do our best David Attenborough is something we won’t ever forget, seeing these animals in the wild was unreal!” Philips commented.

He also divulged during the viral quick-fire questions session that Belgian playmaker Kevin de Bruyne is the best footballer he has played alongside and described himself as an energetic player. 

The player, who is nick-named the Yorkshire Pirlo, further mentioned American singer Chris Brown as the best music artist he has seen perform live.

Philips is expected to play a major role for West Ham in the reminder of the season both in domestic competitions and Europa League.

The Three Lions ace stated after joining West Ham that he is ready to do everything possible to help the club win trophies.

“There is so much to look forward to in the second half of the season for the club and I cannot wait to be part of it.

There is an unbelievable group here and if I can come in and add the quality that I know I am capable of, I am sure we can give the West Ham fans plenty to be excited about between now and the end of the season,” read part of his statement.

West Ham are currently lodged in sixth place on the league standings on 35 points, eight behind fourth placed Aston Villa.
