Chipu Head Coach Simon Jawichre has credited his team's success in Rugby Africa Barthes U20 Trophy to the proper execution of the game plan and following touchline instructions.

Speaking after Chipu came from behind to overpower Zimbabwe in the title decider at the Harare Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe on Sunday, April 28, Jawichre famously referred to as Jawiz praised the young lads for following the script to the ladder.

Going into the game, Jawichre revealed that he fine turned the scrummage and liners sectors which helped Chipu claim a 28-13 victory over Zimbabwe.

According to Jawichre, his scrummage and liners won him the game by breaking down Zimbabwe's walls despite falling behind in the first few minutes of the game.

"Our boys followed the script to the letter, and it worked to our advantage," Chipu's coach stated.

"This time around we had to put some locks and keys in some areas. The scrum and we also had a lot of work on the liners because we really wanted to dominate this game and it came up," Jawichre stated.

Set pieces also added to the piece of ingredients Jawichre induced to his charges to triumph over Zimbabwe in the deciding match.

He described the win as a much-needed intervention to give the rugby fans a belief in the sport after its elimination from the World Rugby Series.

The tactician also pointed out that the win is a wake-up for rebuilding rugby in the country.

"Kenyan rugby at the moment needed that boost and we have delivered to them. We want to take Kenya Rugby up the scale," Jawichre insisted.
