- Under the tutelage of former national team head coach Stanley Okumbi, the Stars opened the scoring in the 26th minute courtesy of AFC Leopards SC player Austin Otieno Odhiambo
- Another Sharks player Patrick Otieno restored Kenya’s advantage in the 53rd but Abdul Hamis Suleiman restored parity three minutes later to make it 2-2

The Harambee Stars under-20 team played out to a 2-2 draw against neighbors
Tanzania in the ongoing CECAFA tournament on Tuesday afternoon in Uganda.
This was the Stars second game in Group B after they
humiliated Zanzibar 5-0 in the opening encounter on Sunday, with Kariobangi
Sharks FC forward Sydney Lokale scoring an impressive four times.
Under the tutelage of former national team head coach
Stanley Okumbi, the Stars opened the scoring in the 26th minute courtesy of AFC
Leopards SC player Austin Otieno Odhiambo.
It was Odhiambo’s second goal in the tournament after
scoring the last goal in the rout of Zanzibar.
Tanzania equalized in the 37th minute through Andrew Albert
Simchimba.
Another Sharks player Patrick Otieno restored Kenya’s
advantage in the 53rd but Abdul Hamis Suleiman restored parity three minutes
later to make it 2-2.
Uganda, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zanzibar,
Tanzania, Burundi South Sudan and Somalia are the 11 participating teams with
the final set for October 5.
Kenya will play Ethiopia in the final group stage match
while Tanzania will be up against Zanzibar.
