NAIROBI, Kenya- Wazito FC head coach Melis Medo has vowed to drop most of the players after his side suffered a third loss in the 2019/20 SportPesa Premier League (SPL) to Sofapaka FC on Sunday afternoon.

Medo was infuriated after the dismal performance and reiterated that he will make immense changes to the squad because he is not impressed with the current run of form.

The Egyptian-American coach took over the reins last month after Fred Ambani and the clubs technical director Stanley Okumbi were shown the door due to poor results.

"We have issues in the defence and some people actually need to go home.

"We have been practicing and were prepared for the game. We discussed what to do and what not to, we just did not perform like we did and that cost us the game," Medo lamented.

Wazito are making a return to the Kenyan top flight after a season-long hiatus and looked to be a serious title challenger after an overhaul with millionaire Ricardo Badoer purchasing the club.

Despite, the money invested into the team, the club has failed to discover their form and have only managed 10 points from nine games leaving them in 12th place on the table.

"We are not the only team that is not doing well and there is something up with this season. I hope we will pick up form as we go on.

"There will be many changes and that includes the keepers as well. You cannot be a goalkeeper without communicating to your players. So the naked truth is that there are about to be serious changes," he added.

Joseph Waithira scored the only goal for Wazito on Sunday in-between goals from Kepha Aswani and a winner from Brian Nyakan.
