Tyson Fury delivered a mighty 11th round knock-out against Deontay Wilder to retain his World Boxing Council heavyweight crown in Las Vegas.

Many are saying that this was the best heavyweight fight in decades as both boxers went at it pound for pound until the final knockout blow.

This was the third meeting between Wilder and Fury with the first fight ending in a thrilling draw in December 2018.

The rematch in February 2020 saw Fury take the WBC belt from Wilder in dominant fashion, knocking him down three times en route to a seventh-round stoppage.

In what was likely their final meeting, Fury made sure there was no doubt he's a true champion.

The fight came 20 months after the Brit dethroned Wilder and he had to prove his resilience after being knocked down a couple of times in the fight.

"I was down a couple of times, I was hurt, Wilder is a strong puncher.

"It was a great fight. I will not make any excuses, Wilder is a top fighter, he gave me a run for my money. I always say I am the best fighter in the world and he is the second best," the 33-year old Fury said after the fight.

Wilder was hanging on by the end of the seventh but was still in a gruelling fight come the 10th, when Fury knocked him down once more, before delivering the final blow in the 11th.

The victory meant that the Gypsy King has now extended his unbeaten run to 32 professional bouts since defeating then-undisputed champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

"Don't ever doubt me. When the chips are down I can always deliver," he added.

Fury will be eyeing a fight against the winner of the Anthony Joshua-Oleksandr Usyk rematch, expected to take place in the spring.
