NAIROBI, Kenya- AFC Leopards SC are looking to make it three wins a row on Wednesday when they face Posta Rangers FC at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos from 4:15pm.

Seventh-place Leopards are on a high following a thrilling 4-1 victory over Zoo FC last Sunday at the Bukhungu Stadium, inspired by a John Mark Makwatta hat-trick.

This was the first time an Ingwe player had scored three goals in one game since Demonde Selanga did so in July 2010, a staggering 10 years later.

Interim manager Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani was pleased with the performance and despite the financial struggle the club is currently facing; Leopards remain unbeaten in seven matches.

“The boys played very well and I am nothing short of proud of their performance. We will continue to work hard and strive for results.

“We are now fully focused on the next game on Wednesday, it is not going to be an easy one but we will give it our all,” Kimani told SportPesa News.

Rangers on the other hand have not managed a win in their last five matches and are in 10th place on the log with 19 points.

The first game of the day at the same venue pits sixth place Kenya Commercial Bank FC (KCB) against a resurgent Sofapaka FC side.

John Baraza’s charges come into the game on the back of a better streak, having not lost in seven games and knowing that a win will see them continue their steady rise on the competitive table.

Tusker FC have the chance to go into the weekend fixtures at the top of the table if they can bag all three points when they take on lowly Kisumu All Stars FC.

The Robert Matano side have 31 points, one behind league leaders Gor Mahia FC who will be out of action because the scheduled fixture was to be against expelled Sony Sugar FC.

The brewers will be confident, as they are fresh off the biggest win of the 2019 /20 Kenyan Premier League season, a 7-0 demolition of basement club Chemelil Sugar FC.

Newcomers All Stars on the other hand have lost their last six games causing them to sack their coach Henry Omino and replacing him with Arthur Opiyo in an interim capacity.

Western Stima FC will be seeking a win against Mathare United FC at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu if they are to retain their top-five status in the league.
