NAIROBI, Kenya- The national Under 17 football team played out a 0-0 draw with Uganda counterparts in a friendly played on Tuesday afternoon at the Utalii Grounds in Nairobi.

The fixture was a build-up game for the upcoming Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF) Under 18 Tournament that will kick off in Egypt from Saturday to April 10.

“This was one of the toughest matches we have played, which is we good, as we are in for a tougher challenge in Egypt.

"I now have a clear picture of my final squad and I'm confident that those who will make it to the team will give a good account of themselves,” head coach Michael Amenga remarked after the barren stalemate.

The team jets out to Alexandria, Egypt on Thursday for the four nations tournament that will also feature Morocco and Algeria alongside the hosts and Kenya.

Uganda will line up in the Africa Under 17 Cup of Nations in Tanzania later this month.
