NAIROBI, Kenya- Two-time champion, Elkana Yegon, confirmed on Thursday that he will be out to defend his title for the third time in a row at the 12th edition of Safaricom Kisumu City Marathon on Saturday.

Madrid Rock 'n' Roll Marathon silver medalist, Diana Chepkemoi, will also shield her women’s crown in the race that has attracted over 700 participants.

Internationally, Arsenal FC  edged Azerbaijani side, Qarabag FC 1-0, to seal top spot in the Europa League Group E with 16 points, stretching their unbeaten run to 22 in the night.

Likewise, Chelsea also finished on top of Pool L with similar points despite a 2-2 draw with Mol Vidi FC of Hungary.
