NAIROBI, Kenya- Manchester United custodian David de Gea has assured the club that he will sign a new contract with the side until 2025 after the pre-season tour.

But the Spaniard has now put a catch to his contract as he has requested Red Devils to hand him the captaincy next season.

At the same time, Inter Milan are set to halt negotiations over Romelu Lukaku this summer after terming the Belgium transfer fee as outrageous.

This has not gone well with club tactician Antonio Conte who is mad that Inter Milan have not been able to release the £75m that United have asked in order to release the player.
