KISUMU, Kenya- AFC Leopards SC beat hosts Chemelil Sugar FC 1-2 in a SportPesa Premier League match staged at Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Thursday afternoon to move to top ten in the standings.

Jaffery Owiti  gave Leopards a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute  before the rivals proceeded for break.

The leaders were on target again in the 57th to stretch their tally to 2-0.Chemelil pulled one back in the 77th to reduce the deficit to 1-2.

The victory saw Ingwe move to seventh place with 10 points after eight matches.So far, Leopards have won twice, drawn four times and lost twice in the new season.

Chemelil, who moved from the relegation zone to 14th last week after beating Posta Rangers FC,  maintained the spot with seven points after two wins, one draw and five losses.

Bandari FC  maintained unbeaten run with a 1-0 win against visiting Rangers at Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa to eclipse Mathare United FC at the top.

The solitary goal was scored by Abdallah Hassan in the 56th.The dockers are now commanding the SPL log with 18 after five wins and three draws.Rangers who suffered their two consecutive defeats dropped to 16th with two wins and six losses.
