KCB Autocross Championships Conclude In Machakos

SUMMARY
  • The drivers faced a difficult terrain and had to showcase their skills on the new course, which was courtesy of the Sikh union club and Ray Motorsport
  • Illiyum Mughal emerged the winner in the Bambino class with the best time in that class of (13:24:20)
  • The 2WD Non-turbo the winner was Sameer Nanji with a total time of (10:39:40), followed by Sahir Mughal who clocked a total time of (10:55:40)

MACHAKOS, Kenya- Round nine of the KCB SIMBA National Autocross championship came to an outstanding finish at the STONI Athi in Machakos county.

The drivers faced a difficult terrain and had to showcase their skills on the new course, which was courtesy of the Sikh union club and Ray Motorsport.

Illiyum Mughal emerged the winner in the Bambino class with the best time in that class of (13:24:20). He also had the fastest time in that class which was (4:03:10) in the third heat.

The 2WD Non-turbo the winner was Sameer Nanji with a total time of (10:39:40), followed by Sahir Mughal who clocked a total time of (10:55:40) while Safina Khan came in third and managed to clock a total time of (11:06:50)

In the 2WD Turbo, the winner was Imran Hakada with a total time of (9:45:60), he also had the fastest timing in this category of (3:13:50) in the fourth Heat.

Kunal Patel came in second with a total time of (9:50:00) as Zameer  Verjee came in third place with a  total time of (9:57:10)

In the 4WD turbo class Lovejyot Singh emerged the winner with a total time of (9:33;90) . He also managed to scoop  the fastest timing of the day which was (3:10:00) which he attained in the second heat.

He was followed by Shahib Omar who had a total time of (9:36:50). Rehan Shah came in third with a total time of 9:41:10 after he rolled off the course in his third heat and had to go on the fourth heat without a windscreen.

Rehan is currently holding  the lead in the 4WD category with 131 points.

There are two more rounds to go,ahead of the overall winner being crowed on November 24.  The next autocross will be held towards the end of this month at the Nairobi Jamhuri grounds.
