Everton ambassadors, Steven Pienaar and Leon Osman arrived in Nairobi on Wednesday as part of the beehive of activity in the lead up to the game that is a highlight of the country's sporting calendar.

The Blues will be making their second tour to East Africa following their groundbreaking visit to neighbouring Tanzania where they beat SportPesa Premier League champions, Gor Mahia FC 2-1 at a packed National Main Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam on July 13, 2017.

The two sides met again in October last year at Goodison Park where Everton raced to a 4-0 victory in what marked the last game in charge of the record 17-time Kenyan league winners' English head coach, Dylan Kerr, successful spell at the club.

Sharks won the rights to play Everton when they sunk SPL rivals Bandari FC 1-0 on January 27 at the Main Stadium in Dar to lift the 2019 SportPesa Cup for only the second ever silverware in their history.

The 2017 SportPesa Shield Cup holders resumed training for Everton over a fortnight ago, cutting their post-season break short to get in shape for what will be the biggest game since the club was founded in 2000.
