NAIROBI, Kenya- Gor Mahia FC maintained their pace at the top of the Kenya Premier League (KPL) table after a dramatic 3-2 victory over Zoo FC at the Kericho Green Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Kepha Ondati gave Zoo the lead in the 28th minute, one that they held on to until the break but Boniface Omondi got the champions level eight minutes after the restart.

Calvin Odongo restored the hosts lead in the 67th and has fate would have it, Nicholas Kipkirui got his name on the scoresheet to haunt his former employers ten minutes later to level matters once more.

Gor, who now have 48 points after 21 matches, turned to their season's top scorer and reliable captain Kenneth Muguna as his last minute goal guaranteed all three points for Steve Polack's side.

Despite Zoo's efforts they remain in 14th place with 15 points.

At the Afraha Stadium, Masita Masuta's brace inspired Ulinzi Stars FC to a thrilling 3-2 win against basement club Kisumu All Stars FC, who have now lost a record 11 games in a row.

Masuta scored either side of a Bernard Ongoma goal to lift Ulinzi into fifth place on the KPL standings with 39 points.

Gershom Arabe scored from the spot and J Owino added a second but Ulinzi were resolute enough to hang on to all three points and further sink All Stars into a relegation reality.

A last minute goal by Stewart Hall's Wazito ensured that they are now unbeaten in three matches and they climb into 13th place with 16 points.
