LONDON, England- Arsenal FC manager, Unai Emery has hailed the capture of Spanish international, Dennis Suarez who joined the Gunners from FC Barcelona initially on a loan deal.

He was speaking to the club’s website on Thursday when Arsenal confirmed the signing in January window transfer deadline day.

“We are very happy that Denis Suarez is joining us. He is a player we know well and I have worked with him at Sevilla.

“He brings us quality and options in many different attacking positions, so he’ll be able to help the team,” the Arsenal boss told www.arsenal.com.

According to a post in the website, Suarez will wear Number 22 and joins a potent Gunners midfield in his return to the English Premier League having played for champions Manchester City FC.

Suarez spent more than five years at Barcelona and worked with some of the best players in the business.

But it was no surprise to hear him describe Lionel Messi as “the best player in the world”, as Arsenal’s new loan signing found even greater inspiration in another stellar attacking talent.

“The person I look up to most in the world of football is Andres Iniesta,” said Suarez.

“He’s always been my idol, ever since I was young. As well as the fact that he plays in a similar position to me, I was also able to spend two years with him - I learned a lot from him. It’s always been a massive compliment to be compared to him.”
