AFC Leopards confirm reappointment of Czech tactician as new head coach

The coach takes over from Tom Juma who was sacked after just six matches.
- Trucha will take over from the sacked Tom Juma who only managed six games at the den.
- Trucha is not an entirely new face among the Ingwe faithful as he will be making a comeback after a short stint with the club that lasted one month back in 2020.
- Ingwe have also made further changes to their technical bench with goalkeeper trainer Lawrence Webo and physiotherapist Bonaventure Odire also leaving the club.

Kenyan champions AFC Leopards have officially announced the reappointment of Czech
tactician Thomas Trucha as their new head coach on a two year deal with
immediate effect.
Trucha will take over from the sacked Tom Juma whose stay at the den was short-lived as he only oversaw six matches during his reign at the club.
Trucha is not an entirely new face among the Ingwe faithful as he will be making a comeback after a short stint in 2020.
Back then, he was in charge for just over a month where he oversaw only one game before leaving the club, citing threats to his life and that of his agent from a section of Leopards fans.

“AFC Leopards Sports Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Tomas Trucha as head coach, for two Football Seasons (2023/2024 and 2024/2025).
Tomas Trucha, a Czech national is a holder of UEFA Pro license. He was, until recently head coach of Kelantan United in Malaysia.
This is the second stint with AFC Leopards SC after being here for a short period in the year 2020. We wish them the best of luck as they take over their new roles at the club,” the club posted online.
Ingwe have also made further changes to their technical bench with goalkeeper trainer Lawrence Webo and physiotherapist Bonaventure Odire also leaving the club.
Webo has been succeeded by Haggai Azande with Joshua Caleb Osir being appointed the assistant physiontherapist. Former club captain Bernard Mang’oli has also returned to the club as team manager.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Haggai Azande, Benard Mang'oli Wanyama and Joshua Caleb Osir, as Goalkeeper Coach, Team Manager and Assistant physiotherapist respectively.
The appointment takes effect immediately. They will be joining us for a period of two years,” the club confirmed.
The new technical bench have no time to relax as Ingwe currently sit in second last position on the log after failing to record a win in any of their six opening games in the new 2023/24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign (D4 L2).
Their first match will be an away trip to Mombasa to take on Bandari next weekend after the international break.
