NAIROBI, Kenya- Football Kenya Federation (FKF) moved with swift speed to seek redress at the Court for Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Thursday to salvage Harambee Starlets participation at the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Ghana.

This follows the decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to reinstate expelled two-time Africa champions, Equatorial Guinea, back to the tournament slated for November 17 to December 1.

In athletics, Kenyan athletes continued to shine globally with Olympic champion and world marathon record holder, Eliud Kipchoge, and Gladys Cherono named male and female winners of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) Best Marathon Runner Awards for 2018.

Thursday night also saw Arsenal FC book a place in the Europa League knockout stage as head coach, Unai Emery, extended his unbeaten run to 15 matches despite a 0-0 draw with Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium.
