WINDHOEK, Namibia- Kenya Simbas captain Davis Chenge is optimistic that they have what it takes to contain Namibia in the Rugby Africa Golf Cup decider at Windhoek’s Hage Geingob Stadium on Saturday.
Only 80 minutes stand in between the Simbas and history as the winner of the mouth-watering encounter will automatically qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
The Ian Snook-coached side left the country on Wednesday and have been training in the Namibian capital ahead of the Saturday kick-off.
“This is the last game of the qualifiers; winner takes all so there is so much at stake.
“We are mentally and physically ready for the challenged poised by Namibia and I believe we have what it takes to come out victorious,” Chenge underscored.
The starting line-up for the decider was named on Friday afternoon and George Nyambua starts at blindside with Tony Onyango slotting in at fullback.
The duo started last weekend’s 67-0 home win over Tunisia from the bench and come in for Martin Owilah who starts off the bench and Vincent Mose who did not travel to Namibia.
“We will show up on Saturday and play our hearts out and do all we can to represent the country well,” Chenge added.
