NAIROBI, Kenya- Fancy travelling to watch Gor Mahia FC play in England? If yes, here is an opportunity to be part of history.

A local travel agency on Tuesday launched three packages for Gor and local football fans wishing to travel to Liverpool to watch the record 17-time domestic league winners take on English Premier League side Everton FC on November 6.

The groundbreaking friendly will be played at Goodison Park from 7pm UK time (10pm Kenyan time) with the SportPesa Premier League winners seeking to atone for their 1-2 loss to the Blues in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania on July 13 last year.

The agency –Satguru Travel – which has a presence in over 61 countries kicked off sale of the three different packages ranging from KSh144,000 (USD1440) to KSh205,000 (USD2050) for fans who want to witness this historic game.

“We are delighted to endorse this agency which we believe will make work easy for our fans who have the means to travel to the UK. This is one game that one would not want to miss and it would be fantastic if we filled Goodison Park,” said Gor chairman Ambrose Rachier in a press statement.

All the three packages include a three-night accommodation plan, match entry tickets and private airport and train station transfers.

They also come with a tour of attractions based on one of the biggest bands in history, The Beatles, since Liverpool is the birthplace of the four members of the band.

The match will mark the first time a Kenyan club plays in the UK with Gor earning the right to face Everton when they retained their SportPesa Cup title in June by beating Tanzanian giants Simba SC 2-0 in the final played at Afraha Stadium, Nakuru.

Under the packages, fans have a choice of travelling using either Oman Air, British Airways or Emirates. The tour is for November 4 to 7.

K’Ogalo who went on to retain their SPL title will re-converge next week (October 25) after a short post-season break to train for the Everton clash.

Their domestic league title defence kicks-off on December 8 when they travel to face runners-up Bandari FC at Mbaraki Stadium, Mombasa where they lost their first game of the last season.
